Today marks a year since Morfa Bay Adventure closed its doors to all large group residential settings which include both primary & secondary school activity breaks.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing Government restrictions we along with other outdoor/education centres have been unable to resume this service which counts for 90% of our business.
Following the recent announcement of a roadmap out of lockdown it is imperative that a planned Covid safe charter along with dates are included for the sector’s return.
The School Travel Sector Stakeholder Group (STSSG) has made its proposal for educational visits to restart in line with the Government roadmap
- 29th March/12th April: Day Educational Visits are permitted
- 17th May: Residential Educational Visits are permitted with specific Covid-secure measures in place
- 21st June: All educational visits can take place with revised Covid-secure measures, in line with Government requirements
