Over the last two weeks we have seen further development with the new build and the enhancement of facilities at Morfa Bay Adventure.
Nearing completion the new toilet/changing facility is looking fantastic and will prove to be a vital asset in the ongoing progress the centre strives to make. As well as this our new client drying room and further refurbishment of much of the centre means that we almost ready for the busy, continuous intake of school residentials throughout the Spring/Summer Term.
Last week we welcomed Bishops College, Quebec, Ladies Rugby Team for a two night stay and we wish them all the best for the remainder of their European Tour. On a Thursday and Friday over the last couple of weeks Morfa Bay Adventure has facilitated a 4 day climbing/abseiling experience for the year 10/11 PE students of Sandfields Comprehensive, Port Talbot. Running from different venues along the Gower coastline, students were offered the opportunity to gain experience in what is a very popular outdoor sport.
Finally I must congratulate Nick, Andy & Rhys for gaining their D1 Minibus Licence following an intensive few days with Mainport Traning, Haverfordwest. Da iawn boys.
Right looks like the surf is up so I’m off!
Fort Morfa Bay!!
Following consecutive days of dry, summer like weather Merv and co were able to concentrate efforts on developing and recreating the worn looking play ground activity structure.
With ideas based around a cowboy/American west fort the final outcome would suggest that Merv has settled for a medieval theme, which I’m sure the children visiting Morfa Bay are going to appreciate dearly.
