Pathfinder Venture final day of activities
So, everyday at Morfa Bay we get that ‘Friday feeling’ but thanks to the girls of group ‘Jenga’ today has been all the more special. The excitable ladies partook in a very fun and very muddy ‘woodland scramble’ session this morning. Still finding enough energy to run through internet sensation and quality songsmith Rebecca Black’s hit song, ‘Friday’ on the mini bus back to camp for lunch.
Altogether now! ‘It’s Friday! Friday!’
New Staff Induction Week
As of Monday the new seasonal staff began their induction week covering all aspects of life at Morfa Bay Adventure.
Dave our Head Instructor put together a comprehensive scheme of work which would allow those involved the opportunity to learn and develop new skills paramount to instructing and eventually leading activities with clientèle of varying age and ability.
Not only was there a focus on the practical skills but also a competent level of theory and general knowledge relating to the activities and the role of an instructor at the centre.
The week comes to an end today with our first aid course provided by Les Morris www.aiding-you.com. Morfa Bay would like to thank Les for his most informative course which was enjoyed by all participants.Training and development will continue to progress over the next coming weeks and new staff will shadow current qualified instructors.
