Colebrook,Kingstanley and St Michael’s Schools have all arrived safely and are already busy experiencing the freedom of adventure here at Morfa Bay.
Later on this evening following dinner they will all take a stroll with Geth down to the beach at Pendine before returning via the hill for hot chocolate.
With somewhat milder weather this week the children and visiting staff look forward to the challenge of both sea activities and the very very muddy assault course programmed for later on!
Abbotswood and St Keyna
Abbotswood and St Keyna schools have arrived safely for a week of adventure here at Morfa Bay.
With flurries of snow here in west wales the children are excitedly unpacking ready for their first activity this afternoon.
The weather although cold has certainly not dampened their eagerness to get out and about some of the children are already up on the playing fields having a game of football while others have opted to stay in the games room where a lovely log burner keeps them all toasty before their activity sessions.
This afternoon – Zip wire, Archery,Mountain Bikes, Climbing and High ropes.
This evening after dinner a brisk walk to the beach and returning for hot chocolate before bed.
Busy start to the season
Over the last few weeks all seasonal staff have returned to undertake refresher training ready for the arrival of this years visitors to the centre.
We are now back in full swing and have already had a number of school and youth groups visit and enjoy the Morfa Bay experience.
This week we welcomed Hillcrest School and after a full programme of activities including sea sessions we sadly say farewell today but hope to see them again in the future.
Today sees the arrival of St Helens and St Josephs from Cardiff for a busy weekend programme of activities.
We also wish Wales well in Scotland tomorrow,no doubt the children and staff from the capitol city will hope to catch up on some of the highlights of the match.
