DofE Gold Award

Huge void at Morfa Bay this morning with the absence of Nia, Nia Haf and Naomi.

Subdued staff breakfast with Andy,Grant,Kieran,Chris and Gary missing the
usual morning chatter and of course the Welsh lessons!

The 3 girls from Bro Myrddin School spent the week on residential at Morfa
Bay assisting with the children from the National Deaf Children’s Society as
part of their Gold DofE Award.

Thanks from all the staff for your hard work and congratulations on
completing this prestigious award and finally we wish you all good luck with
your exam results in a few weeks, we are sure you will all achieve great
results and hope to see you all again soon.

NDCS Day 2

After a busy day yesterday the children are once again ready and eager to try new and exciting activities today.

Following a hearty breakfast they have all returned to their accommodation to get ready for a day of adventure.

The older children are heading off with Gethin and Hannah this morning to experience Coasteering.

The younger groups staying onsite this am trying out the High ropes,Zip wire and Climbing wall.

Thankfully the rain has ceased so the children can enjoy the activities and hopefully the sun will appear later.

This evening following dinner a trip to the beach before returning to the centre for hot chocolate and bed.



NDCS Activity Week

As of this morning the activity programme for this year’s NDCS residential experience began. The group being split into three activity teams have already taken part in some exhilarating activities both on and off-site. However the highlight of the day has to be this morning’s coasteering session at Lydstep as pictured below;
