Woodland Scramble

An off-site activity that is often introduced into our schools/youth programmes following the height of the summer season.

The Woodland Scramble consists of a fast flowing stream with various obstructions that have to be negotiated along the way. It combines key elements to that of our mud assault course and  gorge walking, as participants have to deal with water, mud and similar obstacles that feature in both of these activities.

Kitted out in a wetsuit, helmet and with some old footwear groups led by an experienced guide/instructor are asked to complete different tasks often involving the stream and/or the woodland environment that features throughout the session.

The activity itself takes place in a woodland area within a short minibus journey of the centre.
