Lots happening at Morfa!
Well it certainly has been a very busy few weeks hence no news added. So here’s a catch up of those who have visited and experienced the Morfa Adventure.
Morfa Bay have had the pleasure of welcoming Backwell and Sandford for a long weekend and the following week our old friends from Camwoodfield ,Haresfield,The Rosary and Watermore.
Then a nice bank holiday break for the Jubilee.
Morfa Bay staff were able to enjoy the festivities culminating in a spectacular firework display.
Back to work later in the week welcoming FAB Club from Bristol and this week we have the pleasure of entertaining some more of our regular visitors/friends from Emerson Green,Alexander Hosea,Ruskin and Starcross.
They arrived to glorious sunshine and so far have had beautiful days with rain only during the night. After all leaving their respective school’s with the rain pouring they were indeed surprised to arrive in Wales to beautiful weather (Who say’s it always rains in Wales ?)
Today last day for all and as I write it has unfortunately started spitting rain but I am sure it will do nothing to dampen the children’s enthusiasm for the activities. Following evening meal (BBQ now looking doubtful) the children will be entertained by the master of music himself Mr Rhys DJ Page assisted by his right hand man Gary Big Bird Jones.
Welcome Elm Park,Emerson Green and Bluecoat.
The 3 schools have all arrived safely to Morfa Bay and following lunch and settling in to their accommodation are ready for a full fun packed week of adventurous activities.
Already the lads from the 3 schools have made themselves at home, within half an hour of arriving the future Beckhams are expending their energy playing football up on the field.
Who knows ? Perhaps we are watching a future England player!
Following activities this evening all groups are off on the coastal path hike to Morfa Bychan and Pendine and back to the centre for hot chocolate and bed.
