Andy ‘Teddy’ Edwards
Senior Director
A former teacher and WRU coach, Andy became involved in the centre in 1999 due to his love of the outdoors. He has a passion for sea activities with his tough exterior honed from years of playing rugby, it has to be extremely cold before you would see Andy don a wet suit! Now the finance director of the company, Andy still enjoys the occasional activity with clients.
Jenny ‘Bear’ Kelly
Senior Director
Jenny is one of the original founders of Morfa Bay and has seen it grow and develop into the successful business that is Morfa Bay Adventure today and still loving every minute! A keen walker and outdoor enthusiast enjoys nothing better than heading for the mountains.
Mostly confined to the office these days, planning the schools’ programmes but still enjoys the opportunity to lead some of the activities. Raised in a traditional Irish Catholic family an ardent supporter of the men in ‘Green’.
Gethin Jones
Junior Director & Centre Manager
Before becoming an instructor at Morfa Bay, Gethin was a chef by trade! However that didn’t last long as he quickly realized that was not for him and with his love of sport especially rugby seems to have found the ideal job.
Gethin is the Operations Manager of the centre making sure all programmes run smoothly and leading the team of Instructors from the front.
Jonathan ‘Jono’ Owen
Junior Director & Education/Sports Officer
After a short stint in secondary education, Jono was destined to return to Morfa Bay Adventure and grasp the opportunity of becoming a Junior Director at the centre.
With a degree in Physical Education & QTS and the beneficial experience of working with young people of all ages Jono now sees out the role of Schools’ Education/Activity Officer.
A passion for the sea and water during the summer, he is often found leading coasteering trips and surf sessions across West Wales.
Andy Booth
Senior Instructor
Andy is new to the team of 2011 but is already is leading the guys from the front. Holding a degree in outdoor education Andy has developed and enhanced experiences by working in the Alps, leading activity programmes and organising residential experiences.
In charge of staff training and morale, Andy will set a precedent for all assistant & junior instructors to follow and provides a vital link between staff and visitors to Morfa Bay Adventure. As a keen climber you will often see Andy organising out of work opportunities for staff to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities.
Rhys Page
Instructor
Another local boy, Rhys moved away for a few years to work at centres across the UK gaining valuable experience as an instructor. One of our long standing team members Rhys continues to provide valuable learning experiences for clients of all ages.
Often a quiet individual but with plenty to offer in reserve his enthusiasm for the job is clear to see in the deliverance of his activity sessions. As well as being a key member of the team Rhys is also our resident DJ at Morfa Bay Adventure and will often provide the tunes for Thursday nights.
Annie Davies
Instructor
One of the few female staff/instructors at Morfa Bay Adventure, Annie is a huge fan of the water.
As a RLSS Beach Lifeguard she often finds herself supervising sessions at Pendine Sands, however she is an enthusiast for all activities.
Before joining the team Annie was a diving instructor, something which is still a passion in her life.
Chris Mifsud
Instructor
A full time student at University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Chris has become a regular face at Morfa Bay Adventure over the past three seasons.
Developing a better understanding and appreciation for the outdoors through the means a degree course, Chris supports his learning through his practical/group experiences at Morfa Bay.
Nick Russell
Instructor
A graduate from Trinity University Carmarthen, Nick is a true enthusiast for the outdoors and is determined to make a career out of it.
A specialist for bike mechanics Nick is often found in our repair store maintaining and ensuring the upkeep of both mountain and bmx bikes.
With a degree in outdoor education, Nick’s knowledge of the outdoors is displayed in his delivery of instruction of both water and land based activities.
Kieran Owen
Instructor
One of the regulars at Morfa Bay Adventure returning from Cardiff University for his third season. Kieran has learnt the ropes from an early age and has witnessed the many developments and changes that have taken at the centre over the years.
When not on activities Kieran can be found strumming a guitar being a keen musician or out cycling on his newly acquired road bike. An integral part of the Morfa Bay team as he shares his intellectual quantity at staff meetings and lunch times.
Chris Butler
Instructor
Currently into his second season with us at Morfa Bay Adventure, Chris has proved to be a very reliable and committed member of the team.
A keen surfer and having recently graduated with a degree in marine conservation from the University of Glamorgan, Chris provides invaluable knowledge relating to marine wildlife and biology. Often seen running sea sessions off Pendine Sands and assisting in other water based activities across the West Wales coastline.
His background and knowledge plays a vital role during activities such as coasteering ensuring that there is minimum disturbance to wildlife and that the conservation matters are considered.
Rachel Cole
Instructor
A graduate from Cardiff Metropolitan University (formerly know as UWIC), Rachel started work with us near the beginning on the 2012 Spring/Summer season.
Since then she has continued to gather as much experience and develop a better understanding for the outdoor practitioner through the means of different activities and working alongside varying age groups and abilities.
Gary Jones
Instructor
Having joined the team in March 2011 Gary has adjusted well to his role as an outdoor instructor at Morfa Bay Adventure.
Another individual willing to learn and take on new responsibilities, Gary enjoys all activities that the centre has to offer especially caving.
When not working for the company he can be found resting/sleeping and often playing rugby for Laugharne.
Andy Jones

One of the youngest members of team Andy has demonstrated responsibilities and maturity beyond his years.
A very popular instructor with many of the visiting clients, Andy has developed a good understanding of all the activities and can only go from strength to strength.
When not in work Andy can be found skateboarding or heading into the surf.
Stephen Arnold
Instructor
New to the team this year (2012). Stephen is another graduate from University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
An outdoor enthusiast from West Wales, Stephen has already demonstrated his capabilities on a varied range of activities offered at Morfa Bay Adventure.
As well as being a keen climber, Stephen enjoys downhill mountain biking and with his knowledge and expertise helps with the mechanical repair and upkeep of our bikes/equipment.
Tom Sellen
Instructor
Our very own action man, Tom arrived with us earlier this year (2012) having no previous experience in the outdoors.
This however has not deterred him from quickly gaining valuable knowledge and instructor ability/presence when working with any type of client(s).
Working on a seasonal basis, Tom balances his time at Morfa Bay Adventure with World War reenactments and gardening.
Adam Newell
Trainee/Assistant Instructor
Working on a seasonal/summer basis Adam has already demonstrated the potential to become a very competent outdoor instructor.
Feeding off the knowledge from both senior and junior staff Adam’s confidence and ability to contribute to activity sessions has already developed immensely.
Already considered as a valued member of the Morfa Bay team, Adam hopes to further his knowledge and understanding of the industry by undertaking a degree in outdoor education at Trinity University Carmarthen.
John Bradshaw
Part time instructor/Legend
A real Morfa Bay Adventure veteran. John affectionately known as ‘J.B’, still instructs on some of our more genteel activities such as archery, orienteering and Beach Studies.
Now a keen Thespian with the ‘Laugharne Players’ J.B is part of a long line of teachers in his family, continued now by his wife and son.
John is our resident ‘wise owl’ with a presence as comforting as your favourite Christmas Jumper.
Dave Bradbury, ‘Dai Chips’
Part time instructor/Del Boy
When not in his day job Chips can be relied upon to happily instruct at the centre.
Favourite activities include zip line, caving and assault course although with his background of serving in the Royal Navy he is more than willing to assist with sea sessions.
Enjoys following all sports especially golf. A loyal supporter of Leyton Orient FC.
